From Your Staff

Church Family and Guest,

First, we want to say thank you to all who tuned in to our live services, or have been able to watch them later. We, your church staff, have been blessed by your encouragement and prayers for us and your church over the last couple weeks. We also want to say that it's been wonderful to see how many of you are making the best out of a quite uncertain situation we find ourselves in. We've been hearing reports of how families have been utilizing the RightNow Media library, calling and checking in on one another, kids writing cards to our senior citizens, etc.

The truth is, we are just not sure when we can meet together again. We want to follow guidelines set forth by community, government, and healthcare leaders. We know that not meeting together is an effective way to slow down and possibly eliminate any chance of people further being infected by the coronavirus disease. Let us be clear, we don't see this as our church, or any church, being denied access to worship our loving God, but an opportunity, for the good of the whole, to keep us all as healthy as possible, so that we will be able to worship together soon in His house!

So until that day that we get to come together as the body of Christ, We want to encourage you to remain in Him! (John 15) Use this opportunity, parents, to encourage and uplift your children in the Lord (Deut. 6:7, Eph 6:4) in your homes. Lead them in prayer, reading the Bible and discussing God's Word. This year, our vision and focus is on the family unit, to encourage and strengthen it (Together). We never would have thought that God has set it up that you can do family worship on Sundays now in a unique way to build your relationship with one another and with God!  We believe that God is doing a mighty work in our families and particularly in homes during this time. If that be the case, then He must be setting our church up for revival when we get to be together again! What a day that will be!

While you've been out, we've been working on a few things in house. Kelley has been doing a lot of deep cleaning throughout. We're working to make our worship experience better by improving our projection system and audio system. We've got to say, it's sounding a looking great! We plan to do some more touch up painting and a little work on our floors and hand sanitizing stations are going up throughout the campus, We're getting this place ready for you!

So, until we are able to return, please join us Wednesday Nights online at 6:30 and Sundays at 10am and 6pm as we gather scattered in His name, to lift His name on High, and to pray in His name, and to be encouraged by His Word! (Rom. 15:4)

Updates

  1. Beginning March 31st, our office hours have changed to Monday - Thursday from 8am - 12pm. If you need us outside of the hours, feel free to contact Ministry Staff. This is only a temporary change as traffic to the office has nearly stopped, and in an effort to reduce our Ministry and Support Staff from being infected, and following government recommendations. A lot of work can still be accompli
  2. We will continue to have Explore the Bible and Bible Studies for Life lessons posted on our website and YouTube channel.
  3. You can access ALL of the Lifeway Sunday School (Life Groups) Curriculum now by visiting the Life Group Lessons Page on our website. We have chosen to give you access to all the materials that we use!
  4. You can now access the daily devotional books that we provide in-house. A link to all the digital copies can be found by clicking on the Devotionals page under the media tab on this website.
  5. We have provided for you a subscription to RightNow Media. Right now, to gain access to it, we will need your email address. Anyone, whether they are a member or not, can have access! So if you would like a friend to have it, just let Jeremy know!
  6. If you must come to the church, we ask that you only come through the entrance near the office, even if you have a key. Of course, if you're experiencing the Covid-19 symptoms, we ask that you call the church office instead. 601-845-6843.
  7. You can continue to give your Tithes and Offerings, as well as designated gifts to BHBC through our online giving found on our website, by dropping your contribution off at the office, or by mailing it to the church as well.
