Jacob Barnes – Graduated from Florence High School.
Parents are John and Kristina Barnes.
Jacob was an AB Honor Roll, High ACT, High ASVAB, and Distinguished Graduate.
Jacob received Eagle Scout, Purple Heart of Leadership – JROTC awards.
He received Eagle Scout, Colvard Future Leader Scholarship, MSU Freshman Academic Excellence Scholarship, and JROTC Scholarship.
Jacob plans to attend Mississippi State University and major in Forestry/Conservation. He has also enlisted in the Mississippi Air National Guard.
Constance Elizabeth (Hope) Gutierrez – Graduated from Florence High School.
Parents are Billy and Angel Sellers.
Hope is graduating with honors, Distinguish Service.
She received awards for Top 5 at State for HOSA 2019, Top 8 at Internationals for HOSA, 2019, 3rd place at District for HOSA, 2020
Hope plans to attend Kirkwood Community College in Iowa for become a Radiological Technologist.
Brady Reis – Graduated from Florence High School.
Parents are Mark and Emily Reis.
Brady is graduating with ACT Honors (30 Composite) AB Honor Roll 9th through 12th grades.
His awards are Citizenship and Perfect Attendance from the 9th through 12th grades.
He has received Academic Excellence Scholarship to University of Southern Mississippi with full tuition. MESG ($2,500.00).
Brady plans to attend University of Southern Mississippi and major in Computer Science.
Selena Sharp – Graduated from Puckett Attendance Center.
Parents are Joe and Tanya Sprinkle.
Selena will attend Hinds Community College and then transfer to the University of Southern Mississippi.
Melinda Nichole Slay – Graduated from Florence High School
Parents are Scott and Teresa Slay.
Melinda is graduating with Distinguished Service graduate (200+ Community Service Hours), Florence High School’s Hall of Fame, graduating with Honors, ACT High Honors Student.
In 2016 present Honor Roll Spring, 2017 first place at state in HOSA competition, 2017 scored Advanced on Biology 1 State Test, Spring 2018 Third place at state HOSA competition, 2017-2018 HOSA member of the year award, 2019 scored Advanced on English State Test, 2018-2019 third place at district, Fourth place at state HOSA competition, September 2019 HOSA member of the month award 2020, third place at district competition CERT skills.
Melinda has received a $28,000.00 a year Scholarship from Millsaps College, $17,000.00 a year Scholarship from Mississippi College, and $13,575 a year Scholarship from William Carey and $2,500.00 Mississippi Eminent Scholar Grant.
She plans to attend William Carey University and major in Intercultural Studies and Education.
