Briar Hill Baptist Church is a 135-year old church located in Florence, MS. We are situated right on the edge of multiple school zones, and currently have a youth group made up of students from at least five schools. Wednesday night attendance is usually 25 to 35 students. We are prayerfully seeking either a full-time or bi-vocational Youth Minister to lead our students ranging in grades from 7th to 12th.

We are looking for a person with the following characteristics:

• Christian, with a heart for student ministry

• Evident relationship with Jesus Christ

• Biblical based teaching and doctrine

• Involved and invested in the students’ lives

Basic job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Reach students with the gospel

• Inspire and engage with the discipleship of students

• Lead Wednesday and Sunday youth services

• Plan and conduct youth activities such as outreach, community ministry, camps, fellowships, etc.

• Attend church services and assist as needed

• Regularly meet with the youth committee, which serves as a support and resource to the youth program

• Must affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
